This policy explains what information the mobile apps published by Gao Feng ("we", "us", "our") on Google Play handle. It applies to every app we publish unless an app says otherwise.
Information that stays on your device
Host names, IP addresses, user names, passwords, SSH keys, saved connections, scan results, reports and session output are stored only in the app's private storage on your device and are used only to provide the app's features (for example, remembering the servers you connect to). They are not sent to us.
You can delete this data at any time inside the app (for example, the delete buttons beside saved hosts, keys and reports), or by clearing the app's storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app.
Network connections you make
When you use a tool, the app connects directly to the server or address you choose, such as an SSH, SFTP or Telnet server, an SNMP agent, a web site, or a DNS, WHOIS or NTP server. Those servers receive whatever the protocol requires, such as your IP address and, for sign-in, the credentials you enter. How they handle data is up to their operators.
Encrypted protocols (SSH, SFTP, HTTPS) protect data in transit. Telnet, SNMP v1/v2c and plain HTTP are unencrypted by design; use them only with devices and networks you trust.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free versions of our apps show ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:
- your device's IP address, which can be used to estimate approximate location;
- the advertising ID and app set ID;
- information about how you interact with the app and the ads;
- app performance and crash diagnostics.
This data is used for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention, and is encrypted in transit. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), the app asks for your consent before ads are requested, and you can change your choice at any time from the app's Privacy options menu. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's settings.
Google explains how it uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Purchases (Google Play)
Subscriptions and other purchases in our apps are sold and processed by Google Play. The app receives only the status of your purchase so it can unlock paid features. Your payment details are handled by Google and never reach us.
Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Permissions
Our apps request only the permissions their features need, such as network access to make the connections you start, notifications for open sessions and alerts, or running after a restart so scheduled checks continue. The permissions each app uses are listed on its Google Play page.
Children
Our apps are not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through one of our apps, contact us and we will help remove it.
Open-source software
Some of our apps are built on open-source projects such as PuTTY and Net-SNMP. Their licences are listed inside the apps.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Changes are posted on this page and the "Last updated" date above will change.
